Mechanical Requirements

Trim size: 8" x 10 ½". For bleed ads, keep live matter ¼" inside trim dimensions. Non-bleed live matter should not exceed 7½" x 10". Non-bleed fractional ads should be framed in a keyline sized to match the dimensions given below.

Required Material
Digital: Full-page ads (listed in order of preference): PDF files, with backup Quark or Indesign files, are requested. Please output PDF as high resolution (300 DPI at 100% of output size), with all fonts embedded, and no RGB or JPEG data. Please include the original Quark or Indesign files, "Collected for Output" or "Packaged...", with all fonts and image files. Film, TIFF/IT, and Scitex formats will NOT be accepted.

For digital specs other than those listed above, and for fractional ads, please click here. Advertisers must supply a color manuscript on publication-grade paper with all color ads.

Production Charges
Advertisers will be billed at cost for converting materials that do not meet mechanical requirements. Client-requested changes, such as key numbers or additional preparation of artwork, will also be billed.

Bleed: No additional charge.

2/C: Must use two process colors (cyan magenta, yellow, black).

PMS: Will be matched with process colors and billed at the four-color rate. If PMS color should be used there will be a fifth color charge of $1,750 in addition to the space charge for each insertion.
